Smile Which would you rather do?

Would you rather accomplish after 1000 hours:

Obtaining max rank/titles/elite armor/weapons in this game, or

Learning an instrument/sport/etc. and spent that same time becoming great at it?

If you chose the latter, are you regretful of all the time spent playing this game, or are you genuinely satisfied?

but probably I'll admit it I'd rather spend my time behind a computer then elsewhere excepting certain activities with certain people O.O

Obtaining max rank/titles/elite armor/weapons in this game!

Why?

I'm alrdy playing soccer for 13 years. So that's more then 1000 hours It's not healthy to do another sport, It could exhaust my body. And I did drum for a little while, But instruments is just not in my blood

But I don't regret the time I spent on this game. (Around 2600 hours since release of prophecies). Because I enjoyed it. And that's most important.

Personally I'd rather spend the time playing GW, or any of the other computer games I have.

Why? Because I find them fun, and don't find it fun doing other stuff. lolz. I work 40-50 hours a week, job can be fairly stressful.. so I enjoy my relax time where I can just sit back and do my own thing. I'm also not a socialite like some ppl.. lolz

I don't regret the time i spend on GW or any other game. I think I'd have gone crazy by now had I not played.. lolz

On-topic: I'd rather continue playing Guild Wars. My girl and I play it together and it's a great pastime for us. Meh.

I have also managed both.
I've just clocked up my 1000 hours (took 3yrs off and recently came back to GW, so I've spent about 14 months actually playing). But I have also learned to play the guitar, have played football (soccer) every year and am a full time student these days, studying architecture.

To be honest the two options don't have to be mutually exclusive. In a way I regret NOT having maxed that many titles in my 1000hrs, but that's because I enjoyed exploring the different classes and questing etc and the titles hadn't been released/around long when I left the first time and I only got Nightfall and EoTN when I started playing again a few months ago, so I've got plenty of hours left enjoying the story lines of each etc.

I would rather learn an instrument and become great at because you're more highly regarded in society. However, I'm still happy playing Guild Wars because it's fun and I don't grind.

I think this is in the wrong forum.

already know how to play a bunch of musical instruments (piano, flute, clarinet, saxophone, bells)....cant play soccer--bad back. ditto for other sports, though I did try tennis in college--I have no depth perception so its almost impossible for me to hit the ball....no regrets (other than being a geek in college)

so I have already done the first part loooooonnnnng ago, gw does not require a practice room, special equipment (other than a computer) nor physical prowess...I will pick it for now (and I can play when I am eating, almost asleep, etc).

next question

I've played GW for a little over four years, and I have 1 GWAMM.

In those 4 years I also learned how to speak French, as well as played Bass Clarinet in High School Band.

Prioritize and you can do anything you like.

I had wanted to get 1 gwamm on my paragon for guild wars 2. That was a major goal. But now I realize that it's not all that it's cracked up to be. I don't even know if I will get guild wars 2. Even though I love wolves and know that norn's will be able to transform into them. Time will tell if I revert back to gaming ways.

I basically just snapped out of it near the beginning of February and just haven't played any games since. I just randomly decided to look on here out of boredom but lately I have been wishing that I would have spent more time learning whatever/ doing stuff rather than playing games.

Meh I could do those things, but there's one fundamental difference, I enjoy playing Guild Wars. If I enjoyed playing an instrument I would be learning one I'm also learning french and love to ski so its all good.

Would I rather sit at a computer playing a video game or go out playing sports with friends? The latter, for sure.

And no, I don't regret putting as many hours into GW as I did. I played it during my free time and never passed up on doing something irl with people/important stuff to play.

I'd love to learn to play the saxaphone or the piano.
